First thing I thought when I saw my first Smart car in Vienna seven years ago. No, actually, first thing I thought was, “It’s missing its wind-up key.”
I had a VW Beetle back when they were new. Someone asked me where the key was and told them it uses two D cells per month. They sulked off.,Someone in Dallas challenged me to a race. I said here to San Antonio on ten gallons of gas. Another withdrawal..Der Käfer was a gas guzzler compared to today’s cars. I drive a Prius today, but I need the interior capacity collecting food for the local food pantry.

Smart cars look cute, but no way in Heck would I own one. You might as well take a scooter out on the turnpike.
