Satchel: Why is a fruit fly without a soul scarier to you than a traditional ghost? Bucky: A ghost is just fumes and bad lighting! You can beat up a ghost with a cheap box fan and a good ol' incandescent bulb. But some creeping, soulless automaton that doesn't care if you live or die is legitimately terrifying. Satchel: Fruit flies are tiny, Bucky! Bucky: Soulless fruit flies are the nanotechnology of the fear industry!

When a little house fly gets into my kitchen, I tell it it can live as long as it doesn’t bite me. I read somewhere that they only live one week, so what the hell!

I always try to get an insect out of the house without hurting it. I always wonder what the little buggers are thinking.

I’ve been haunted by fruit flies before. They are indeed nano-zombies.
Finally found their zombie overlord. Disposed of a rotting apple hidden in the pantry, and they moved on to other hunting grounds.

Don’t know about the mosquito statistics, but among mammals hippos are the deadliest animal to humans. More deaths per year than all other wild animals combined. Very territorial and big enough to do something about it.

Another one is the fly ball that misses your glove and hits you square in the face. Very deadly.

I second the goodness of Pacopuddy’s comment comedy humor.
