So Gina watches her cholesterol & sodium intake when comes to popcorn, huh? (On my very first date, it was to a movie and we each shared a popcorn; a bit unconsciously touched each other’s hands in the bucket, though.)

You need Russia, U.S.A., Canada, China, and England to get this to be a holiday, but it should be.)P.S.s the reason I get to stay up late is there’s no school for boys Bball, we go to play in Wyoming, so….yeah.

I predict that Nate is heading back to Gina with their popcorn when Nate hears Francis, Teddy, Paige and Sheila talking about how good the movie they watched was so Nate hides behind a pillar and something bad happens, making the four see them and they say something like, “NATE! Were you spying with us?”

Then Gina comes and yells at Nate for not hurrying up with her popcorn. The four notices Nate and Gina by looking back and forth at them and then cracks up laughing and saying, “You should’ve ASKED us if you wanted to come…or are you too embarrassed to show us how you feel about Gina!?” and tease him.

Popcorn made without salt and butter (or at least cooking oil) is like eating a bowl of styrofoam peanuts.

I think it’s pretty sad she didn’t even ask. Just demanded. Typical boyfriend/girlfriend relationships of today. And also of Marriages. Sad, sad, sad. Nate just walk away and get your popcorn. Your not being rude if she is rude first.

I just love how Gina and Nate get along in these strips! I believe this is like mixing fire with gasoline! Nate’s lazy on grades, while Gina wants good grades so she can get “Good Student” discounts & possibly college.

Yes, Gina might be weird, but I do like her as a character in “Big Nate.” Just think, if this was reality, Nate & Gina might just might end up together for life. Besides, love can be weird and strange

And besides, when you get to be around my age (47), you would like to see old friends, classmates, and your teachers whenever you can. When I graduated out of Chapman H.S. in Inman, SC in 1983, I went to see my old teachers after class hours just to say hi. This was fun!
