Montahue, what are you doing? Hey neighbor! A bit o' snow drifted over from my yard... So I'm shovelin' your drive! Um, that really isn't necessary... Hey, no sweat! I'll be done in an hour or two... Say... Uh... This wouldn't have anything to do with my annual New Year's party, would it?... Ha! Ha! Course not! Just lendin' a helpin' hand an' bein' neighborly, that's all! Ok, Montahue you when. You're invited... What? Really?! Are you sure?! Yeah, yeah. You can go now. You've done enough shoveling... Hey! Thanks! But seriously... I came t' shovel your drive, an' that's what I'm gonna do! Although you may've noticed I am developing an abrasions on my left index finger that looks like the beginnings of a blister... Go home, Monahue, go.

It has become an annual tradition for Monty to crash Neighbor’s party, one way or another. Neighbor should take a hint and do a New Year’s vacation in Bermuda, or the Mediterranean; anywhere but next door to Monty!

I never shovel our drive or walkway. It helps discourage visitors, the snow eventually goes away on its own anyway and besides, it would just make things slick as they ice over the next night. I can’t understand why people bother.

Dad is like that. Except he is in his eighties. So when he’s out shoveling….. he puts the younger neighbours to shame. But it does get them up and outside and helping dad.
