If they secede, what happens to the Indian reservations, which are, by treaty, separate nations? And can the government then ask for reparations for the federal parks/monuments which are within their states? Rather than Russia, they should all go to Somalia. No effective government, no taxes, and everyone has a gun. Of course, no roads, no food, no manufacturing, etc. How long could they last against the rebel/Al Qaeda forces once they found out who had wealth?
