I think that these scripts and illustrations are sometimes updated when reprinted. Anyway, what I was going to say was that Tarzan reminds of The Great Leslie (Tony Curtis) in ‘The Great Race’ during the cake fight where everyone else was slathered in confection and he had not a morsel on him.

By Jesus, Mary and Joseph, Tarzan seems clever enough to avoid a crude hydrocarbon shower, Dick! et al will need Varsol baths to clean up. Re the updates, I would respectfully disagree, the strips seem to be verbatim, but a curious way to lead to a 25 Dec reference.

I wonder if the original publication date of this strip was also December 25.

AMAZING! How does Tarzan remain free of that black, oily crap….does it just slide off of him?Wishing all tribemates a safe Merry Christmas….no smoking or drinking while driving…OK?Where’s that ancient Kris Kringle B’wana Q and his WW2 Marine elf….still sleeping last night’s party off, or still opening their gifts? :)>Ho-ho-HOGowa!!
