And Burl did the gift wrapping? Has there been an alien abduction? Is he angling for some afternoon delight or has Joy completely triumphed as Dominatrix?
If they ever figure out that you can go to a place that sells store display fixtures and buy yourself a price label “gun,” there’ll be no stopping them…
Not only will all the clearance stickers be gone, those $1.77 items from Big Lots will have a fresh tag they “forgot” to remove…
“Gee, Honey, those ugly potholders the Pennys gave us are marked $28.00!!”
Another MIL story, one year we got a basket of nuts w/ a girlie nutcracker, You used her legs (ahem). My husband wanted golf rain pants, he got dirty ski pants with a broken zipper. She loved garage sales and her gifts reflected this. Worse, she was quite proud of her “finds”! I’ll bet the Penny’s keep a stash of garage sale stuff just for presents, these people probably regift stuff so often it eventually gets back to the original gifters!
I re-gifted this year.My sister gave me two coffee mugs from Ohio’s Cedar Point..A couple of years ago (never used them).one price said $6.99 the other had an added sticker $4.99 same style mug so I remover the $4.99 sticker and I am giving them to my daughter and son-in-law (he loves coffee mugs) who went to Cedar Point on their Honeymoon two years ago…………..
“It’s the thought that counts”…. Is an old and true saying that seems to apply today…. Quit often the effort to identify, find ane wrap a certain gift….. far exceeds it’s value….. ! ! !
I too used cloth diapers, sitting and folding them was a welcome time to rest. Our first grandchild wore cloth, but by the time #3 came along they discovered disposable! Wonder what Patty’s babyhood was like. I can’t imagine Joy changing diapers, Oh heck now I have to go for the Brain Bleach again. Peppermint or Gingerbread, hmmm

Yikes, Pacopuddy…. you put me right off my Christmas candy!
I have to say, you almost never see anybody carrying a child’s potty anyplace over here.
Great big toddlers are kept in disposable diapers in public till they’re “trained.”
Of course, a few idiots leave the rolled up dirty diapers in public waste baskets…I’ve even seen them in store dressing rooms and on the beach.
They have plastic on the outside but it’s still disgusting.
