I can walk down that memory lane if I can make the 600 mile trip to it. There is one set of grandparents, my parents, many relatives, my wife, two sons, many friends, and a space for me.
Both of my grandfathers were gone before I arrived; one of them didn’t survive my dad’s preschool years. One grandmother died when I was in grade school; the other died just before I entered senior year of HS. My parents have been gone for more than 30 years.
