Nancy backstory?!?!? That’s a first!

I think she’s done a good job.

I love the reference to “It’s a Wonderful Life” in the second panel.

Adoption is such a wonderful thing. My parents could not have children, so they adopted 4 children (I ‘m the youngest), and now both my parents are gone, we are all grown up, and we are all blessed to have such wonderful people who cared alot to do such a thing. I wish to dedicate this to all parents who adopted, and cared for children they couldn’t have. :)

Looks to me like Nancy will have an uncle soon.

Cheers for Nancy. She has outlived two other greats – Little LuLu and Little Iodine. (For the younger ones, Little Iodine was a Hatlo creation along with They’ll do it Every Time and Hatlo’s Inferno)

So are we setting up for a Phil Move or a Fritzi/Nancy move?

Phil Fumble and a clear backstory (has there ever before been a strip saying in so many words that Nancy is an orphan?), Barney Google actually appearing in his own strip, Dick Tracy back on the Moon—it’s been an interesting year.

We read Nancy as teenagers in the 70s and I enjoy reading today! God Bless & thank you Gilchrist!
