Well, Charles... I'm goin' on vacation. Won't be around th' Museum... You'll be responsible for all my galleries. While I'm gone, if @#$@#% gets outta hand... An international art thief goes berserk or something... I gotta secret to show you... It's here... In 18th century weapons... I call it big Bertha... Holy @#$@# you actually loaded this thing! It's only a malted milk ball, but if it hits, it stings like a @!!$#$# #@#%@#%

That must me one stale Malted Milk Ball, not to turn into powder when fired. I wonder if a paint ball with a light charger would work?

Looks to be a 1700s Flintlock, possibly British, but I can’t say for sure; it’s not my area of expertise.

A gob stopper would work nicely

Charles needs a refresher course in handling firearms.

You have to do some work to fire a black powder weapon….

I know little of guns, but isn’t that last panel how you get headlines about dead people being shot, such as “MAN SHOT DEAD ART GUARD”?

How does Moondog know what it feels like to be shot by a chocolate bullet?
lisapaloma13 almost 12 years ago
That’s the way tough guys talk. Or at least they think it makes them seem tough.

Impressive Moondog has kept his job this long.

It is a Good Thing, I guess, at how many people (me included) immediately jumped to “safe firearm handling”. Guns don’t kill people, it’s the many stupid people (or even smart people who do stupid things) who have access to them.

If Moondog was at the Gardner, the "Storm on the Sea of Galilee would still be there.

I always thought Raisenettes or Junior Mints were the preferred ammunition sources, or is that just in movie theater ballistics?

IS it possible that Moonie got a taker for his trip to Cabo? (re: saturday…)

I know what you’re asking yourself: did I fire one shot, or only none? Well, in all this excitement, I kind of lost track myself…

speed kills, gun chills, candy fills

It’s missing the flint, so it won’t fire.

Malted? No, no, no. If left long enough, it will only turn to dust when fired. The dried peas (think soup), are much better. And more painful. .,and Moondoggie really should pick a better replacement. That guy will probably shoot his foot off before Moonie gets back from vacation. Either that or an eye.

So, today over at the Dick Tracy comments, there was talk of and link to video of Pez (candy) guns. Now, Moonie is using a malted milk ball load in “Big Bertha” (once the nickname of a WW I German big gun—howitzer, actually). It’s all too sweet. Tout suite!

I too think criminals should forfeit their rights when they break the laws. Nor should they be allowed to vote from inside a prison.
