Reminds me of my pre-induction physical when they wanted to draft me to go to Vietnam. After taking the hearing test (where I responded based on pain in my ears, not hearing), I was told “According to this, you can’t hear.” I responded “What?” They would have retested me, but before that happened they found other reasons not to want me in the army.
