Paige: What are you doing? Jason: Waiting online to buy "Star Wars" tickets. This new pavilionplex web site is great! You can order tickets a week in advance! Their server must be flooded with requests, though. It's as slow as molasses. Paige: Good thing you have that lawn chair and sleeping bag. Jason: Hey, I'm no rookie.

Jason should have been around in the days when you really DID have to camp out at the theater if you wanted to be first in line to get tickets!

The only movies I ever really bothered to catch on opening day was the first three Harry Potter movies and Star Trek XI. I also intend to catch Star Trek Into Darkness on opening day. But never have I camped out to catch a movie. I just walk into the theater at the first opportune time, buy my tickets, and watch my movie. Never failed.
Really, the whole camping out thing is just for overeager viewers that don’t want to wait, IMO.

I’ve stood in line for midnight showings of Harry Potter with my sister a few times, and I’ve done the same with the fifth Harry Potter book and the seventh Harry Potter book; the last time I did that to get the final book for my sister when she was over in Europe, and it was worth it.
