Cul de Sac by Richard Thompson for February 11, 2013
Transcript:
Alice: What's that big wall? Beni: It's to keep the traffic out. Beni: Otherwise, the endless stream of cars would rise up and over- wheel, the whole neighborhood. Beni: Aren't you glad we're on high ground? Alice: Yes, but let's go stand on the picnic table anyway.

You can never be on high enough ground, but a picnic table helps. It’s not often that we get a panoramic view of Cul de Sac in Cul de Sac!

When I was a lad, a new high school was built down the block. Then they built a spur of the NJ Turnpike right past it. Had to keep the windows on that side of the building closed all the time. NOW they have a sound barrier. NOW they have A/C. Wusses.

Wait a minute here. I always assumed that these kids all lived on a cul de sac street. But now it looks like the name of the town is Cul de Sac. Which is it? Or is it both?
