i’ve switched to the Saints (for as much NFL allegiance as i show). liked the Vikes way back when (and “Viking” is one of the many nicknames i’ve had in my time on this planet) but i went through the “will he retire or won’t he” with Mats Sundin and refuse to do it again with Brett Favre. if he does well, good for him. but i think it more likely that it won’t end well. once he’s gone, i may go back to cheering for Minnie.

EMET said: “Farve, I am cheering for you now.”

Isn’t that usually the case? Like when Johnny Damon signed with the Yankees.

Sometimes our “dislike” of an opponent is actually respect.

I lost respect for the Cowboys when they signed T.O. I simply did not like him and still don’t. I was very happy when he left. I would not get lured by the fact that he can obviously make plays and at times a better player. But his othere on and off field antics never made me a believer. I could not be swayed. I would not join the dark side of the force.

The only ”Dark Side” of Favre that I am aware of is that he apparently can not make up what’s left of his mind - so much so that they even made a commercial about it.
