Barriobucks Cafe Barriobucks Eddie: "Gun control opponents continue to call for the arming of teachers." Vero: Are they nuts!? Believe me, you don't want to arm this teacher!!
I had a few teachers who may have made use of their firearms on me. I was taking out my anger on them with passive aggressive behaviour. Glad they didn’t have guns… An apology here to all teachers who had to deal with my stuff. Guns at school, what a concept.
Arming teachers & staff is about the dumbest idea I’ve ever heard. It’s “giving a 3 year old an X-acto knife” stupid. Leave it to the NRA to propose an armed, amateur police force in our schools. Does the NRA think there is no liability in allowing untrained teachers to carry personal firearms? Anyone with half a lick of sense knows that we’ll see about 10,000 ‘accidents’ for every teacher who stops a mass killer.
Again all “gun free zones” do are to provide a easy target to the nut cases out there. I agree that the odds are extremely low for your school to be hit. The question you need to ask is, do I want to save the money that would provide a trained Policeman at the school or take that risk. Getting gun bans unfortunetly will not prevent the nut cases and criminals from haveing them, all you have to do is look at the gang violence in Chicago, which has strict gun laws.
make sure everybody who is sane has a gun on them at all times. And teach a class of politness. if your stupid enough to be an a##hole in an armed society there will be fewer a##holes.
“ALLOWING TEACHERS WITH CONCEALED CARRY PERMITS TO CARRY AT SCHOOL IS NOT ARMING TEACHERS.”Can we use our indoor voices, please? The same people who complain about incompetent, “union thug” teachers now want them to carry guns in the classroom…. what a laugh.Who is responsible if a teacher mistakenly shoots someone she thinks is a threat? (Hint: the answer starts with “tax” & ends with “payers”).
