Mom: I made a mammogram appointment, so you can quit pestering me, Cathy. Cathy: Did you stick it on the bulletin board, where it will be buried immediately? Did you stick it on the refrigerator door, where it will slide to the floor under the weight of the ten other notes the magnet's holding up? Or did you stick it in your doomed pile of "things to add to my calendar as soon as I clean my purse and find my lucky pen"?? Mom: Sooner or later we all rue the day we let our children see how we live.

So, how does it feel to have switched roles with your daughter, Mom?

It’s never fun when your children turn tables on you.

This is why any and all appointments of any kind goes in just one place: the small calendar I keep in my completely cleaned out purse [which I consult every Sunday for the upcoming week]. As disorganized and scatter-brained as I can sometimes be, small appointment notes kept anywhere else besides that calendar is sure to get lost, misplaced and/or maybe even just flat-out forgotten about all together so that’s why I don’t take any chances regarding things like that. Oh, and I don’t need a “lucky pen” either. Any ordinary, completely functioning pen works just fine for me.
Hi, rgcviper!
Hello and Happy Thursday, fellow “Cathy” fans. It’s so quiet around here today! Where IS everyone anyhow? Well, wherever you are, whatever you’re doing, I hope you’re having a very pleasant day doing it!

I’d say Cathy has a point here.
Personally, for appointments and to-do items, I use a smart-phone app called Jorte. It allows typing in entries or saying them verbally, and it’s a life-saver. I highly recommend Jorte as a scheduler for anyone with a smart phone. (And I believe it’s free.)
HI, MOM. Greetings, Clan.
