Cathy: How can this be such a mess, mom?? Mom: Because we're DOERS, Cathy! When we take on a project, we do it completely and meticulously! Cathy: There's a whole decade of pictures here! No names, no dates, no places, no identification! Mom: We're also BLOWERS! We DO it completely, or we blow it completely! No wishy-washy middle ground for us! We're one hundred percent doers and blowers! Cathy: Our family weirdness: The only thing in the house with a label.

If I were Cathy, looking at a bunch of pictures that are 10 (or more) years old that aren’t dated and have no names, places or identification on them, I’d hand them right back to my mother and tell her: “Thanks, but no thanks. These are your photos so YOU need to be the one to deal with them — not me!” It may sound harsh but Cathy’s life is chaotic enough as it is without her mother laying all this on her, too. It’s certainly no wonder to me why Cathy is the way she is . . . the nut doesn’t fall far from the nut tree!

Don’tcha wish you were already in the age of digital photos, Cathy and her mom?
HI, MOM. I was gonna mention Nut-Jobs, too, but you pretty much beat me to it …
