Boy, am I grateful I never mistook my uncle Dale for his identical twin brother Dave growing up (Dave died in ‘56 when his and Dale’s youngest brother — my dad — was a kid and Dale died just two years ago). Lucky you, Gilberto.

supposedly the wake was held immediately (warm climate) and when the alledged victim, upon hearing the news, arrived to clear up the misunderstanding, the family dropped collective jaw and headed for the high country at full gallop.

It was at Lakland AFB in 1964 that my car was totalled in a rear end collision. I escaped unharmed, but was reported as having been killed in the following days newspaper. Talk about shitting cookies! You should see the look on peoples faces when I reported for work the next day.
