We love Danae so much we named one of our cats after her. They have the same personality

Gonna be a bad day when she gets old enough to realize that no one gives a rats a$$, family included.

Well, in that case, I feel it is my duty to speak.

They’ve got ‘til Friday, or I think we’ll have to hire a whole new batch of CongressCritters. This time with some serious interviews.

I dread to think what would have happened if I dared tell my parents to “shut up”!

The Senate was not set up like the House on purpose. Our founders knew that House members would be prone to represent the parochial interests of their district, while the Senate was to represent the entire state. Then again, Senators were APPOINTED, not elected, so we wouldn’t have had a choice, at least unless we were white, male property owners! Still think “original intent” is a good idea?

Wow, a shut-up day; and to think, congress convenes today. But that is absurd. Actually, this is the day all extroverts should just stop talking. Even for a few minutes would be a relief to the rest of us…..

Gorbag42: The Senate represents the states. The House represents the gerrymanderers. The President represents the Electoral College, which won’t even reveal their names. Only protestors represent the people, and only the armed mob segment of those can avoid going to jail for the crime of exercising the First Amendment rights of free communication.
