One year, about this time, the Safeway had a HUGE amount of holiday nuts left over, and were selling them for 25c a pound. I bought 20 lbs, and put some out for the squirrels each day. One got so fat he’d pick up a nut, and going past his stomach, it would pop out of his little hands!
