He gets into an argument with you it has the possibility (not necessarily probability) of your allowance being limited or eliminated for a period of time, grounding, extra chores, etc. Bottom line: you’ll end up on the short end of the stick. If he argues with the missus, he’ll end up on the short end of the stick and in the dog house. And you don’t want to know where that stick might end up. (Does Mom anger shop or clean? Could lead to extra bills or his “valuables,” like that old jacket that’s been worn down to cheesecloth, being tossed.)
