I remember taking my son trick or treating in, ahem, a major retailer. The workers were decorating Christmas trees in their Halloween costumes. I wish I had taken a picture.
This phenomenon always drives me nuts. It’s winter, I realize I need some winter supplies, go to the sporting goods store or whatever, and the winter stock is gone and they’re putting up the spring / summer stuff. They never sell the season I’m actually in! Same thing with Christmas decorations. If I’m putting stuff up and need a replacement whatever, the shelves are already empty. I guess I need to learn to put Christmas lights up in August.

The ads probably say: “Get in debt a season early!”…

Typical. No wonder people have summer fever in the winter and winter fever in the summer! And Christmas fever in July!

I hate that. Need a pair of shorts or something in the middle of summer and all you can find are coats and snow pants.
