why only 5000 mexicans at the alamo? how many spear chuckers it take to change light bulb? why polish dogs have flat noses? what’s italian flat tire sound like? how many wasps to find the titanic? why china man always sneeze on buffet? why geronimo jump out of plane?
No offense, but whether you find it unnecessary or not depends on how far back you remember and where you lived. Until the 1960s it was extremely common to hear ethnic, racial, and sexual epithets used in everyday conversation, even on network television shows. .The workplace could be downright hostile for minorities and women, some nationalities, and those generally powerless to fight back. Finally, people decided they didn’t have to put up with that, and used financial means to stop it. Nothing speaks louder than money and votes..A course, politicians got involved and eventually made it all look foolish. But don’t ever forget that it was necessary. Talk to senior women, African Americans, eastern European ethnics, and homosexuals about those times. Learn real history from people who were there. .No offense. Life is absurd, and keeps me amused every day.
@emptc12Very cogent commentary, as always. It seems like I don’t see you much on Oliphant these days: I miss your comments there!/As far as criminals are concerned, should Ma Barker now be termed “Parent Barker”?

Here it is:\“First They Came for the Jews”By Pastor Niemoller
First they came for the Jews and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for the Communists and I did not speak out because I was not a Communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists and I did not speak out because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak out for me.
