    ah, but the tough part is the actual physical application of that force vector on the ball…..therein lies the difficulty because the motion of the swing, the stance of the feet, the position of the hands on the club, the amount and direction of the wind and the accuracy of the impact on the ball all are part of the equation for a perfect strike on the ball

    I never learned to grip a club in the “correct” way, but could still shoot in the 80s. Occasionally.

    And I suspect the Physics analysis would be way more complicated than that. That puckered surface and spin give it a very unique aerodynamics.
