Ripley's Believe It or Not by Ripley’s Believe It or Not! for April 23, 2013
Transcript:
Jason Shron from Ontario, Canada, has spent 4 years building a full-size replica train car in his basement! At the Wat Khunaram Temple in Thailand, the mummified body of Buddhist monk Loung Pordaeng sits in the same position in which he died in 1973. The mantis shrimp can see ultraviolet and infrared light- both invisible to the human eye!

Nice pad, Jason. I’m not sure I wanna die and be mummified while in meditation/prayer.

The shrimp is smarter than Jason.

Ontario is a big province. Could they have been a bit more specific?
Frogman_tg almost 12 years ago
Why Jason? Tell me why? Give it up…Loung is not going to wake up. Also I wonder who the eye doctor was who tested the shrimps eyes, was it fitted with little tiny polarized glasses?

BTW, what happened to the self disfigured morons Ripley’s loves to put in every day? Or is that every other day, hmm?

I saw an article on Jason’s project. He loves trains. I think that it is great that he has for filled his dream…. So many people just sit and complain and do nothing.

Especially, when it spends so much time underwater?

Stray9999, Jason is in the Belleville/Trenton area of Ontario. He is a train fan, and if you go to YouTube and put in ‘guy with a train in his basement’ you will get a video about it and how it was done.
