perhaps Connie might try a shade or tint of green…

Marg… standing around too close to the Pennys might make her turn a shade or tint of green.

But Burl said any color of green….

So if she doesn’t care or most greens…maybe she could wear, say, a blue color of green….

or a purple one.

In that red and black horizontally striped T-shirt and those waaay too tight black pants…all Burl needs is a beret and a scarf to look like an old mime or apaché dancer… actually he already looks like he swallowed one…

Burl looks like a knockwurst that’s been on the grill too long. Been in the reefer so long he had some green on him. Like the other sausages they buy at the dollar store.

Looks like an old halloween costume we had as children. I think it was a pumpkin. They must have just started shopping,not much in the cart to be at the checkout yet.

For some reason, my brain interpreted that as “any SHADE” of green. Guess I been reading Dinette too long. Starting to think like Burl.

If Connie falls for that one, then I’d say the interviewer will trip her up in no time. Anyone who takes advice from Joy and Burl are not likely good thinkers, so I hope she is applying for a job that the main requirement is to warm a chair, like Burl’s job. ( with split pants he can really heat up his chair, more ways than one).

The background today does not make sense with the comic… it detracts from the what is normally an enjoyment…. The dark colors make the comic sinister…. What happened to the shelves full of Ho Hos and cans rolling on the floor…. and the sign ’Pants half off"…. ? ! ?….. C-
