Great strip! “Cul de Sac” manages to capture the warped and weird way that kids look at the world and this one is a great example of that. Who hasn’t tried to extend their eyes on stalks?

One time, I was at my grandparents’ house in the mountains, reading on the floor, when I noticed that whenever I put my hand near the nightlight nearby, the light would become brighter. Being +10, I was skeptical, but began to believe that I actually had electrical powers. I soon found out that the light was set to become brighter in the darkness, and the shadow from my hand was causing it to think it was nighttime, but it was fun while it lasted!
