what is her problem? we never had money to go to a camp,we had chores to do,milk,weed the garden, clean the stalls or the house. if and when we got done we could go swimming, fishing or berry picking. we chased lightening bugs or listened to the radio at night. Mom and Dad both had jobs, thankfully and still farm 275 acres.

Or your son could get a job. Walking dogs, weeding the garden, etc.
