I remember when I was four and traded caps with another kid. Such fun!—until the head-lice showed up.
Folks had to wash my hair in gasoline back in those days.

I’ve been thinking for a while……..Dill’s hat isn’t a hat at all. That’s his mom’s bra with tassels from her job down at the “Naked Lady” strip joint!
