Cul de Sac by Richard Thompson for February 21, 2009

Transcript:
Waitress: Here you go, sweetness. I found you a little plastic sword! Alice: Oh, thank you! Ha ha! She called me sweetness! Petey: Boy, she doesn't know you very well. OW! She poked me! Mom: Alice! Give me that sword! Dad: Check, please!
Bill Watterson actually wrote a little testimonial salute to Richard Thompson’s “Cul de Sac” that was posted here on GoComics a few months ago. His glowing tribute was the main reason I checked this comic strip out. Really glad I did!
(I was really surprised that we were actually hearing from Watterson again. He became a very private man after his Calvin & Hobbes days.)
I am searching my memory to see if PJ Piehole’s was one of the restaurants closed for health violations in Richard’s Poor Almanack on Saturdays in the Washington Post.
