Bad Gnus, I love it!
I used to be a pretty good slow pitch pitcher.
I wonder if Mr. Hinds has heard of the “eephus pitch” ? (Or any of the other readers?)
Yep. Ted Williams hit a home run in Fenway in the All Star Game to win it for the A.L. Bill Lee threw the “Lee”-phus pitch to Tony Perez in the ’75 World Series in Fenway. Still believe that ball is in orbit.
Lee’s mistake was throwing it to Perez a SECOND time. He’d struck him out earlier on that pitch, and Tony was Pissed and ready the next time!
