I always wondered what had become of Carmen …

So that’s what happened to her, fruit bats!

“Chica chica boom”.

Here’s what became of Carmen Miranda, what a trooper! The fruit bats might’ve been easier -

“On August 4, 1955, Miranda suffered a heart attack on The Jimmy Durante Show, although she did not realize it at the time. After completing a dance number she unknowingly suffered a mild heart attack, and nearly collapsed, but pulled herself together. At the end of the broadcast, she smiled and waved, then exited the stage. She died later that night after suffering a second heart attack at her home”

Carmen Miranda wasn’t carried away by fruit bats. She just got carried away with fruit.

I had no idea the dollar store had sales! Those flipflops must have been quite the bargain.

FYI: Fruit bats can consume up to three times their own weight of plastic fruit during a single night’s foraging.

awwwww, I love flip flops with fruit on them the flower ones too.

When I was little and growing up in Tucson, at the beginning of every summer we bought new flip flops, the plain one though. Thanks for the nice memories !
