I read a recent article about the many eagles that are being killed by modern windmills while they are “window shopping.” I was worried until I got to the end of this strip.
dadenny: That is an awl bidness lie. Modern windmills are avoided by most birds. Thousands of times more are killed by high rise buildings than by windmills. A Danish study of their offshore wind farms show that most birds see the whole array as one obstacle and fly around it. The exceptions are gulls and cormorants who find the service platforms ideal nesting sites and still manage to avoid the nearby vanes.

One of our local eagles likes to do this to my buddies ducks and chickens.

I’m watching a solar camera above a nest and Mom and Dad are real good about bringing food for their babies.
