In reference to my own and the other posts yesterday, my main problem with the 2nd JJ movie is that it is a nod to ST 2, with this great big new slate of alternate universe instead of moving ahead they went back. That and yes I like Benedict as an actor and he played the part well, but that doesn’t change the fact Khan shouldn’t be British in any universe. Much the same way in today’s strip chapter 3 usually is where action picks up so it is very tongue-in-cheek today.
No, I’ve read a lot of books where 1 or 2 chapters were all that was worth reading. Bram Stoker’s Dracula is a recent example: only the description of the storm was worth reading; the rest was just tedious.

Some books would be better with a shuffle play option.

Piers Anthony is a great writer, but the ten pages of exposition he devotes to minutiae throughout his books drives me CRAZY!
