Get Fuzzy by Darby Conley for June 12, 2013
Transcript:
Bucky: I think there's a mistake in my bowl. Satchel: It wasn't me. Rob: That's your special new diet food. Bucky: My nose is telling me it's some sort of recycled paper-based packing material. Rob: Huh. It's box tells me it's Max diet plan low gas formula. Bucky: As dog as my witness, I shall have revenge. Rob: You always say that. But then you start napping. Satchel: Maybe your new food'll give you enough energy to get your revenge!

Satchel must be Sagittarius, the eternal optimist. I love his final comment. And, I do feel for Bucky on his diet.

There are those non believers who call on Dog as a substitute. I have read and heard the term on many occasions.

I’m pretty sure we’ve had this strip before. Anyone else recognize it? If, not, it was the whole “vet put Bucky on a diet” story.

I agree on every point. I guess that is why we still keep reading the strip.

Good for Satchel. Now the point on his head will have a friend.

What difference does it make if it’s a rerun? It’s new and funny to those of us who have never seen it before. Also, “dog” is Bucky’s witness to his vow of revenge since Satch is standing there as he makes his vow. Bucky is not Scarlett O’Hara when she makes her vow that she’ll “never be hungry again”.Although Bucky may be hungry if he refuses to eat the new catfood.

I refuse to make every one of my comments a complaint about people complaining about reruns. Oh. Wait. What did I just do? Uh-oh.
Isn’t every diet a re-run? My resolutions to start working out are. It’s no wonder I get bored with them. They always end the same. If they started making me totally ripped in by 2nd workout, I’d stick with them, seriously! Somebody needs to write a fresh story line to my exercise life!

Diet is DIE with a cross (t) at the end.
