    Cats do this sort of thing all the time. It’s a behavior they learned about the same time they moved in with people several thousand years ago. A few seconds of seeming affection in an attempt to balance out hours and days of bad behavior often was the only thing standing between them and the stew pot.

    Our cat Muffin will do the same thing. She gives “kisses” after shes fed, given water or is just being affectionate.
