Rip and Breezy have a tiki idol that grants wishes! And they have no idea! Wowzers! Rip: Mama luau said we need to get that statue back to its sacred tiki temple! Breezy: I wish we had a chopper so we could fly there. Rip: OK, kid, I hope you brought spare underwear, because I'm pretty sure we're both unconscious and full of mind-control drugs.

I was hoping they’d hijack a chopper from the bad guys at ‘chop-chop-charters’…. with lots of Ka-sound-effects…?

OK Dan, I know this is only a comic strip—and it’s YOUR comic strip at that, but is this the first time “Rip Haywire” has ventured into the area of mystic powers?That is, other than certain anatomy defying gravity…and bullet dodging…and talking dogs…and miraculous escapes…and rapid healing.(You know what, I guess maybe I should just shut up and enjoy the ride.)
