“When you’re wounded and left on Afghanistan’s plains,And the women come out to cut up what remains,Jest roll to your rifle and blow out your brains An’ go to your Gawd like a soldier. "
Rudyard Kipling
There is very little that is new under Afghanistan’s sun.

“The idiot”….. yep, calling people names…. the great American political process…. Agree with him or not, like him or not, I find it hard to think that anyone who can get himself elected to the Presidency is an idiot. But, if you feel it gives you the upper hand, or makes you seem intelligent, go right ahead and call out the slurs.

@omnius – the Soviets retreated because we sent in bin Laden, et al and sent in weapons and funds to support their effort. Bin Laden is a product made by the USA. And now we reap what we have sown.

“Well, at least we’re rid of Jimmy Crow this week.”
In the comics at least. It’s pretty clear we have plenty of Jimmy Crow at ground level.

That was the great thing about Bush’s many, many vacations. Except for the one where he let the terrorists kill 3000 of us, he couldn’t do as much damage as when he was at “work”.
