I asked my “Alice” (6 1/2-year-old granddaughter) if she thought Alice was being greedy. She said, “No, she’s being bossy!”
Besides, Dad’s tiny little clown car would probably steal the show as the onlookers ponder how he managed to fit himself in there in order to DRIVE the darn thing (to this day, that little car is my favorite thing about this comic).
Poor Alice. Haven’t quite gotten the hang of sarcasm yet, have we?
Don’t forget to really make it patriotic by painting it red, white and blue.
