If I could care any less Iā€™d actually care. Idiots. Iā€™ll bet they all say ā€˜irregardlessā€™, too.

Right Burlā€¦. the half a dozen Harvard grammarians slumming it, by working for minimum wage at U Stor-It will take a vote tomorrowā€¦

    ā€œI ainā€™t sure. It just donā€™t sound right anyways.ā€

Seeā€¦ thatā€™s the thing of itā€¦. while I tend to say ā€œI couldnā€™t care less,ā€ because itā€™s grammatical, and ā€œcould care lessā€ makes no actual sense, I think itā€™s meant ironically.

    There are a lot of ironic expressions that donā€™t hold up to scrutiny, like ā€œI could give a ratā€™s behind,ā€ ā€œI DONā€™T give a ratā€™s behindā€ā€¦ā€œNot half bad,ā€ ā€œNot halfā€ā€¦.ā€œTell me about it!ā€ Saying ā€œgreatā€ when something bad happens and ā€œThis tastes funny.ā€

Ohā€¦. and much as I hate hate hate ā€œshould ofā€ in writing, itā€™s more of a mishearing or misspelling than ignorance.

It comes from our habit of contracting ā€œshould haveā€ into ā€œshouldā€™veā€ in casual speech, and its being misheard and then written as ā€œshould ofā€.

Thanks to the people on here that stepped over to Rogue Symmetry to check out my tribute yesterday. I apologize for misspelling Rogue. My spell check should have caught it, and probably did. I was in sort of a fugue at the time and didnā€™t catch my typo.

My friendā€™s family liked the tribute. I am indebted to Derrick Wood for setting his comic back a day to let me use his spot.

In appreciation, I will give his comic one more shout out, and this time make sure there are no typos.

    Thanks to Rogue Symmetry!!!

@X, I thought that was WOOLEN kittens as in yarn, kittens etc.

I used to read this one just for all the little hidden things that Julie used to coordinate with the theme of the dayā€™s joke, but as more of the toons are now reused, they are not always coordinated. I definitely come here mainly for the comments, even when I have little time (such as when Iā€™m on someone elseā€™s PC) I manage to read DS and BS.
