Paige: You're eating bowls of sugar for breakfast?? Peter: We ran out of cereal and this seemed the closest subsitute. Jason: If you use chocolate milk, you can hardly tell. Paige: Cereal's a little sweeter, I think. Peter: Picky, picky. Jason: Here. Add some marshmallows.

Well, at least all the Fox siblings are doing something together… followed by going to the dentist.

Question…Does anyone out there/here besides me who prefer their cereal DRY (for that Crunch factor) instead of it all milk-soggy?

I remember as a kid eating dry Captain Crunch until the roof of my mouth was raw!Ahh, the joys of childhood…

I prefer my cereal and milk at the very interface of crispy cereal and cold, clean milk (with no sugar shmootz in it). I used to take a spoon or two of cereal and quickly sip a bit of milk, but that eventually got old. Now it’s sufficient to eat the cereal in small helpings in a bowl or cup, adding the milk just before eating.
Hot fudge sundaes should also exist at the interface between hot and cold, but they’re harder to manage. Tacos, BLTs, and burgers with lettuce should also have both mild extremes, rather than being a homogenous warmish substance.
Remember McDonald’s and their two-sided containers? They had the right idea, but I seem to recall hearing that the execution was lacking.
Okay, that’s enough over-thinking for now. At least I think it’s enough. Do you think it’s enough? What if I should have over-thought more? (etc.)

As a kid I used to pour a small amount of milk on my cornflakes, being careful to leave some big, dry flakes on top. I could take those, dip them in my OJ, and then into the sugar bowl for an orange-flake-sugar pop. Once down to the soggy stuff, I’d layer on some sugar, eat that layer of flakes, and do it again, leaving a nice sugar-milk syrup to drink off at the end.

I love mine all wet and soggy. Sometimes I even let my cereal sit for a while before I start eating just to make sure the milk is good and soaked in.
