In April 2013 a woman from Kattappana, India, suffering from a tickly throat, had a live venomous centipede removed from her throat where it had been stuck for a week! Ewww!! In 1994, a British murder conviction was thrown out because members of the jury tried to contact the victim with a Ouija board. Russian billionaire Dimitry Itskov is funding research on the insertion of human minds into everlasting artificial bodies- cyborgs!

In the 35 years I was married to my x I think our brain cells changed. Both of us feel that we’re not the same person we married.

I think somebody has been watching too much Doctor Who. The Cybermen have been done already.

It could be worse than that… the cyborgs could rise up and kill us all — like the Terminators!

Interesting! IMO, if new neuron cells are not generated after birth, and synapses can’t progress to form new connections after transfer from the living human body, the cyborg is born dead. A great point for argument in a philosophy class, but it’s sort of been done in a 1983 Steve Martin movie.

I’ll ask my Ouija Board, “Will cyborgs eradicate centipedes?”
