Baldo: Aw, crud!! Baldo: My cell phone battery just died! Baldo: What are we gonna do?
That’s what you get for bringing something battery operated that required a rechargeable cord in the wilderness without outlets.
I always, carry a second battery.
I use a dumb phone, it’s charge lasts for a week or more on regular usage. But then if I’m bothering to camp there won’t be a signal anyway ;)
Solar chargers are small and light. A small UPS, fully charged, is also really handy for site camping. Keeps your led lanterns charged.
Is this a case of 2 wrongs making a right? 1st wrong: cell phone dies; 2nd wrong: using a cell phone for anything other than emergencies when you’re surrounded by nature’s peace and beauty.
Good choice.
What happened to Cruz’s dad, and the other tent?
Don’t get me wrong, but I think the message of today’s strip is more than reliance on today’s technology.
Cell phones should have an automatic OFF feature to turn them off for a couple of hours each day so kids would have to find something else to do.
Real virtuality?
Go fishing of course.
