If the question from Tony is if I’ve been to Vegas, then answer is yes. But didn’t go for gambling or even to the Pawn Stars’ shop. Also, there is an LDS temple in both Vegas and Reno.
Haven’t been, don’t wanna go. It ain’t called Sin City for nothing… (I wouldn’t mind seeing some of the wildlife preserves and the Hoover Dam-Lake Mead, though.)
I went to Vegas once; joined my lover and his daughter there for an extended weekend a few years ago. We saw 2 shows (Cirque and Miserable) and I won and lost some $ (about 1/2 what I took) fun to play, but not really my thing.
“Plods with beer must live in the desert SW like me. I often put one of those in there. ".I visited there for the first time this spring. Sorry, but living there for me would be out of the question. I like trees too much.
Reno no, Vegas yes. Went with the hubby on a short vaca. We only gambled one morning while our room was being cleaned. We were really there for the sites and shows. I was there for the rides. Anybody ever rode a roller coaster on the outside of a building 1000 feet up? Or been shot up on a free fall ride with a beautiful view of the desert? That was awesome. I also rode a mechanical bull for the first time. Vegas was fun.
Got married in Reno. Been to Las Vegas many times but not so much for the gambling. There are so many things to do there – it’s even a great place to take kids. Sometimes stop there to for the great food in our travels. The Omelet House, off the beaten path, is excellent for breakfast. It’s too big now, though. The traffic is horrendous.
Vegas yes, one time with four kids. We rented a limo, inspired by one of the home alone movies. The driver really got into it and gave us quite a tour.

When Reno is a better place, you know things are really bad. Not called the armpit of the West for nothing.

Craig Ferguson called this city the Reno of Canada. But I enjoy it here. I was in Vegas in the early 60s. I was too young to gamble.

Nope. Don’t care for gambling. They have that in Louisiana too, but it also has some great food.

Have no desire to go to Vegas or Reno. Or Nevada for that matter.
