FWIW, it has been pointed out that President Bush Senior was in two movies with Osama bin Laden. These were, of course, documentaries. But that would easily qualify as “linked to” by the the Kevin-Bacon criterion.
I’ve been surprised by the people I can be “linked to” by means of a youtube video that we’re both in. If there are a few hundred people in the hall, a video would make for lots of links between people who haven’t ever actually met. It’s all grounds for NSA monitoring.
