Look at her, teaching her babies how to do the job!
I had a female cat that took two kittens I adopted under her paw. I got to watch as she taught them about mice. She brought one she had caught into the dining room, and meowed until the kittens went to see what she wanted. She then put the mouse down and stepped back. She tapped the mouse to make it move, then pounced and brought it back to the center of the room. The next time she tapped it, both kittens were on it. It’s just amazing to watch mommas in the animal kingdom teach their young.

There are tests for scent hounds and they can earn titles.

Scent hounds? ‘Dog show’? This is a sheepdog trial. Dad is probably out on’t fells – these are serious working dogs.
