Reminds me of a Don Martin semi-feature sequence in MAD Magazine where Joe Fonebone got run over by a steamroller. So two of his buddies fold him up like a map to take him to a doctor — until they encounter a guy from the Nearsighted Strongmen’s Club, who mistakes Joe for a phone book. And you know what strongmen did to phonebooks in the ’60s and ’70s. Apparently, not only nearsighted (which in fact might have been useful in context), but severely dimwitted as well.
