No but your hand and arm will rebel after a while. I type out my snail mail letters to my mom who will not get a computer even a laptop, then print them, and sign my name to them.
Even if you send your pencil to the guy in NY who charges $35 to sharpen your pencil, it’ll still break down on you at some point. Pencils crash all the time.
