The only problem with that idea is the fact that the floors of bat caves are inches (and sometimes feet or yards) deep in bat guano, which is crawling with the zillions of voracious bugs which feed on it. Any bat unlucky enough to fall into those disgusting piles doesn’t last very long.

actually, bats hang upside down for a reason. It is easier for them to take off quickly, and also some other pluses.
