Performer: Im sorry, Im a mess right now. I just watched "steel magnolias" and it just destroys me. Ive written a lot of letters to dolly paton…
Uncomfortably open mike night.
Wow…An hour or so ago, right after my previous comment, I posted to Beviek….
It was just something like “Thanks.. but you may have to wait a long time.”Nothing controversial… but now it’s gone.
This is the third time in a week or so that an innocuous comment I’ve made has disappeared…..the other two left other posters’ silly responses to them hanging in mid-air.
Meanwhile, much longer, and probably more inane, comments from me have stayed in place….there seems to be no rhyme or reason to it.
Just wondered whether anyone else has had that problem.
SusanSunshine: I have, and they are generally my most innocuous. I have the same problem with the NPR radio program, A Way with Words. I am currently FORBÎDDEN" to hear it online. When they finally help get me permission, I hear and comment on one program and am back on the blacklist. I suspect there be fungus among us.
Thanks you guys who responded about the missing comments.
It takes a lot more than one person writing letters or flagging it to make a post disappear…. so it could just be a computer glitch…. especially since it’s not just me…. even though we all know THOSE never happen.
Then again, there are more than a couple of site vigilantes who think quips and specific replies are “off-topic” and should be banned…even though GoComics provides a reply button, and some cartoonists join in.
And I’ve been lectured by people who say my jokes are unfair to the cartoonist, or puerile, or unfunny, or…. or….
Varnes… I’ve probably done that too…. but since the other 2 had already gotten replies, I’m sure I re-read them later in the day.
Last night I noticed a typo, so I deleted and re-posted, and checked it again on the forum.

Mike? I thought he was Frank.

Yes, he was always Frank….but he went straight forward when his manager told him to change it….
He does what he can…. did you know him before?
I guess that’s all a person can do, is go forth, right?

Now I gotta watch that commercial again, just to see if you got the right number of Mike’s.

Susan, I’ve had that happen, but I’ve just assumed I’d forgotten to submit it…and it disappeared when I switched pages….Now I’m not so sure….
